Rui Tavares Lanceiro

Rui Tavares Lanceiro has a degree in Law and a PhD in Legal-Political Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where he is Assistant Professor of the Legal-Political Sciences Group. He has a Diploma in European Public Law from the Academy of European Public Law, of the European Public Law Organisation. He is also Secretary General of the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences, Co-President of the Portuguese Section of ICON.S, Principal Researcher at the Center for Research in Public Law and. He also works as an advisor to the Office of Judges of the Constitutional Court. In addition to teaching at the Faculty since 2006, he has extensive teaching experience in various courses, postgraduate courses and training. He was also a member of several juries for academic examinations and access to the judiciary and the diplomatic career. He worked as a legal advisor to the Government of the Portuguese Republic and is a lawyer. His doctoral thesis was published in 2019, with the title “O Princípio da Cooperação Leal e a Administração – A Europeização do Procedimento de Acto Administrativo”. His research interests lie mainly in the areas of European Law, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.
