LPL EDITIONS

PRESENTATION

It is an Open Science project and a path towards the internationalisation of our community. Publication in English is, therefore, the standard working tool, although other possibilities are considered and may even prove to be more suitable for specific themes or stakeholders. The Open Science movement is more than open access to publications; it is the opening of data and the scientific process, reinforcing the concept of scientific social responsibility.

The editorial project is based on three distinct lines:

Lisbon Public Law Working Paper Series on SSRN. It features abstracts, working papers, and forthcoming articles by LPL and affiliated researchers. The LPL Working Paper Series promotes papers intended for publication (preprints), ongoing project papers, and those by young researchers. The papers are not subject to peer review but are checked by the Editor to ensure minimum quality standards.

  • LPL Editions – open-access books with peer review. These publish the research outputs from LPL projects, requiring prior approval by the CCC. Collective works are also accepted. The e-books are available in open access on the LPL website, with the occasional printed version available free of charge to educational institutions and libraries. So far, we have published in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  • e-Publica – open-access journal. A Public Law journal aimed at sharing research on the theory and practice of Public Law and related subjects. The journal, which follows a double-blind peer review system, publishes three issues per year.
