Bio

Ana Rita has a degree in Law from the University of Coimbra and a doctorate in Public Law from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (thesis on “Proteção derivada de Direitos Fundamentais de Imigração”). She is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, the largest Public Law School in Portugal. She also works as an independent researcher on several studies for the European Union, for international consultants and for international academic networks. She was an advisor to the Office of Judges of the Portuguese Constitutional Court for 7 years and Deputy to the Portuguese Ombudsman for 3 years
