On October 24, 2024, the "Building Democracy and Constitutional Justice" Conference took place.
As part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of April 25, the Constitutional Court, in partnership with the Commission for the 50th Anniversary of April 25, organized the "Building Democracy and Constitutional Justice" Conference on October 24 in the Great Hall of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences.
The topics discussed aimed to combine three core areas: fundamental pillars of the democratization project that emerged from the Revolution; areas in which the Constitutional Court played a significant role through its case law; and, finally, issues of undeniable present and future relevance, fostering a discussion that extends beyond a mere historical review.
