The Constitutional Justice Observatory is a project of the Lisbon Public Law Research Center dedicated to disseminating the jurisprudence of the Portuguese Constitutional Court, contributing to its spread among the general public, as well as academics, researchers, lawyers, and other legal professionals.

The Observatory also focuses on decisions of other national courts regarding concrete reviews of constitutionality and the protection of fundamental rights; constitutional jurisdictions of other countries, particularly those in the CPLP and the EU; as well as international jurisdictions related to the protection of fundamental rights in Portugal, such as the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.

The mission of the OJC is to publicize and disseminate, in a technical and thorough manner, decisions related to constitutional justice and fundamental rights, contributing to the information of society in general, as well as to the enhancement of academic and professional activities related to law and related fields.
