Luís Filipe Mota Almeida

Graduated in Law and Master in Administrative Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL), having won the FDUL/CGD Prize awarded to the best master's student at FDUL (academic year 2015/2016). Legal and parliamentary advisor in the Assembly of the Republic, since 2018, and associate researcher at the Public Law Research Center of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon/Lisbon Public Law Research Centre, since 2020. Between 2018 and 2019 he was also a researcher at the Institute of Public Policy – Thomas Jefferson/Correia da Serra, in the areas of “governance and public finances” and “democracy and political responsibility”. Author of several scientific articles in the areas of administrative law, local authority law, public service law, public procurement law and law administrative procedure, having been a speaker at some conferences in the field of local authority law and being an external consultant in this area. In recent years, he has also published several books in the area of local authority law, with emphasis on works entitled “O Estatuto do Direito de Oposição nas Autarquias Locais” and “A valorização do papel e da eficácia das Assembleias Municipais: Um regimento-tipo.”
