Bio
Carolina Aparecida Galvanese de Sousa is a research scientist, university professor, and lawyer.
She is a full member of the Environmental Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) – Santos/SP Chapter, and Vice-President of the Health Law Committee of the same OAB branch, where she works in support of issues of public relevance. She practises law in both contentious and advisory capacities.
In addition to university extension courses and other short-term programs, her academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Legal and Social Sciences, a master’s degree in Health Law, and a Ph.D. in International Environmental Law from the Catholic University of Santos, São Paulo. Awarded a Sandwich Doctoral Fellowship by CAPES/MEC in Brazil, she furthered her research for a period of six months at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Within the scope of his research, he focuses on International Environmental Law, Environment and Health, Sustainable Technologies, Space Law and Policy, and International Politics. He has published articles in scientific journals, proceedings of academic events, books, and edited volumes, and regularly attends and actively participates in congresses, seminars, conferences, and various other events as a speaker and assistant.
