Novos estudos sobre a Constituição portuguesa

The first volume of the New Studies on the Portuguese Constitution Series, coordinated by Jorge Miranda, Vitalino Canas, and Maria Lúcia Amaral, and prefaced by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the President of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, brings together the contributions of 25 renowned figures in the fields of law and Portuguese constitutional studies.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, the election of the Constituent Assembly, and the Constitution itself, this work—drawing inspiration from the Studies on the Constitution published in 1977, 1978, and 1979, also coordinated by Jorge Miranda—offers a reflection on the influence and legacy of the 1976 Constitution within the global constitutional landscape. The result is a convergence of perspectives between emerging constitutional law scholars and seasoned experts with recognised academic contributions in this field.
