Bio

Raquel Brízida Castro has a PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Professor at the same Faculty and Lawyer. She is a Constitutionalist, Specialist in Public Law, Public Procurement Law and New Technologies Law. She is Principal Investigator at the FDUL Public Law Research Center and responsible for international research projects. She teaches postgraduate courses and, on the topics of her specialty, is the author of vast and influential literature and has participated as a speaker in several national and international congresses and seminars. In law, she develops her activity mainly in the areas of Constitutional Law and Constitutional Justice, Public Procurement and Data Protection. She was distinguished by her peers, in a peer review system, in the last three years, within the scope of Best Lawyers 2019, 2020 and 2021 – 10th, 11th and 12th Editions, one of the most distinguished international competitions, for her work in the areas of Telecommunications Law , Privacy and Data Security Law and Information and Technology Law. She is Deputy Director of the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon (2022-2024; 2018-2020).
