LPL researchers Ana Rita Gil and Vladyslava Kaplina co-organised an event at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, as part of the research project "Sustainable Immigration in a welfare State".
During the event, the previously published study on Portuguese public opinion regarding immigration in Portugal was presented, which can be accessed here. This study emphasises the importance of balanced public policies that take into account both the rights of immigrants and the sustainability of social systems.
Various topics were discussed, including immigration regulation in Portugal and Brazil and the integration of immigrants.
The involvement of Ana Rita Gil and Vladyslava Kaplina in organising this international conference strengthens institutional cooperation between Lisbon Public Law and FGV, promoting the internationalisation of legal research on sustainable immigration.
