Bio

Ana Soares Pinto has a PhD in International and European Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, having obtained the Diplôme d’Études Supérieures Juridiques et Économiques de l’Union Européenne. She is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, where she specializes in the areas of European Union Law, Public International Law and Fundamental Rights. His doctoral thesis has the theme “The jurisdiction of the Court of Justice of the European Union in the area of ​​freedom, security and justice”. She was Advisor to the Minister of Justice for these areas. Over the last few years, he has collaborated in the training courses for Magistrates in the Judicial Courts and Administrative and Fiscal Courts at the Center for Judicial Studies. Among other publications, we must highlight some of his most recent titles such as “The obligation of interpretation in accordance with European Union Law”, “The application of urgent preliminary ruling proceedings in the area of ​​freedom, security and justice by the Court of Justice”, “Privileged actions ( “golden shares”), public security and imperative reasons of general interest” and “Brief reflections on the implications of the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, M. S. S., in the area of ​​freedom, security and justice”.
